Valeo Tech Day 24. 5. 2016

On our test polygon in Milovice near Prague was held on Tuesday, May 24, another of our successful events, this time under the name The day of smart cars. If we met at the event, you had an exclusive opportunity to get acquainted with the various technologies, that Valeo develops, to try them in practice and learn much more from the top developers in the automotive industry.

We met with ninety inquisitive visitors during the morning and afternoon program. Our employees represented the various technologies directly on the cars on which these technologies have been tested and developed. We introduced you to these technologies:

Park4U – automated parking systém
SVS – Surround View Systém – helps the driver by providing a perfect view of the vehicle’s environment
The intelligent cameras – detect traffic signs and barriers
AEB – Autonomous Emergency Braking – the system that brakes for you when you’re too late
OZA – Operation Zone Assistant – autonomously controls the car in narrow space
LCA – Lane Change Assistant – the system that will alert you to a vehicle in the blind spot

Among other things, the event also featured a team of students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering CTU in Prague with their car type in the framework of the project Formula Student. The task is to design a car that best satisfies the specified requirements and passes the test races. It’s a great thing, currently in the series Formula Student competitions more than 500 university teams from around the world.

Even though we tried to plan everything to the smallest details and ensure that visitors enjoy the unforgettable experience, we can not command the wind and the rain. The afternoon program has crashed thunderstorm, but even that our cars didn’t stop, we presented our technology further and all we managed.
